Action for Agricultural Renewal in Maharashtra (AFARM)
Diploma course in Rural Development
The need of the hour for the development or social sector today is to hire professionals who are not just enthusiastic and passionate but possess the right attitude and skills like communication, documentation, project management, as well as technical skills relevant to the field of operation. Keeping this in mind, AFARM created a part-time, short-term course in RURAL DEVELOPMENT in 2003, which has now evolved into a full-time diploma course (3 months).
This course is for fresh graduates or students in rural areas/staff already working with small NGOs. All students are given all facilities- from lodging, boarding to survey equipment etc. All students get a certificate jointly given by AFARM and NABARD.
Till now, 70% of our graduates have been placed in 400+ AFARM member NGOs or started working solo as a trainer/implementer. Thus, we have joined hands with COGNIZANT to reach out to more and more people and create a cadre of skilled professionals for the development sector.
Every contribution you make will help us offer this low-cost format of essential practical education to those who wish to serve the poor of our country. Be generous and Give Now.
