Action for Agricultural Renewal in Maharashtra (AFARM)
Capacity building of small NGOs
One of the common perceptions about small NGOs is that they lack structure, professionalism and therefore, are inefficient. These small NGOs are incepted mostly out of charitable efforts of an individual/s without any long-term vision or planning for sustainability of operations.
There is a clear need for providing essential knowledge related to the development landscape, as well as capacity building in the areas of administration, governance, legal compliances, resource mobilization, govt. scheme convergence and so on. We plan to do this through an intensive, integrated program spanning 1 year and targeting select NGO in Marathwada region of Maharashtra. Projected impact of this program is i) the development of a standardized document for the training process, and ii) capacitation of at least one founder trustee and one core staff member from each NGO, who will then guide our other 400+ NGO partners.
We request you to donate generously to get us one step closer to implementing this project. Every rupee will create multi-fold impact and ensure the professionalization of many more organizations, dedicated to serving the undeserved.
